Russell Crotty at the Mount Wilson Observatory

Mount Wilson Observatory presents Nocturnal Landscapes from the Arid West, a new exhibition by Russell Crotty, as part of its Arts @ The Observatory series.

 

Organized by Mount Wilson Observatory’s artist-in-residence, Stephen Nowlin, the exhibition will be installed beneath the magnificent vaulted dome of the historic 100-inch telescope. The public is invited to a free opening reception on Saturday, June 27, 2026, from 1:30 to 5:00 p.m. The artist will lead a brief walkthrough of the exhibition beginning at 1:30 p.m.

 

The exhibition will remain on view on Saturdays from July 4 through October 17, 2026, from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. Beginning in July, admission is $10; children under 12 are admitted free. Tickets may be purchased online or at the door.
