Susan Leopold: Transvertical

New York based sculptor Susan Leopold works with existing, full-sized architecutural spaces and the miniature ones she constructs.   Using mirrors, lenses, and cameras, Leopold breaks apart the structure of the exhibition space, creating a sense of dislocation. Through these fissures, she inserts alternative worlds, referencing history, and personal and collective memory.

Hosfelt Gallery will exhibit a full-scale, site-specific installation that challenges the viewer with simultaneous fragmentation and replication of the space. In addition, several of Leopold’s discreet sculptures will be shown.
