Join us to celebrate the release of the latest issue of ZYZZYVA, San Francisco’s acclaimed literary journal and recipient of the Whiting Literary Magazine Prize. Issue 128 features the art of Hosfelt Gallery artist Birgit Jensen. Zyzzyva contributors poet James Cagney and novelist Molly Giles, will give brief readings.
James Cagney is the author of Black Steel Magnolias in the Hour of Chaos Theory (Nomadic Press), winner of the PEN Oakland Josephine Miles Award. His second book of poems, Martian (Nomadic Press) received the James Laughlin Award.
Molly Giles is the award-winning author of several books of fiction, including the 2023 novel The Home for Unwed Husbands (Leapfrog Press) and most recently, her memoir Life Span: Impressions of a Lifetime Spent Crossing and Recrossing the Golden Gate Bridge (WTAW Press). Her work has appeared in the O. Henry and Pushcart Prize anthologies.
