From a series that memorializes historic and contemporary efforts at peaceful demonstration, this work refers to the anti-government protests that began in Hong Kong in 2019. The thick black line delineating the protests refers to their duration and their various routes throughout the city - there is no real beginning or end to them as they have continued for nearly 2 years. Rodriguez used random color combinations within the light and dark tonal ranges to distinguish the lower and upper portions of the piece. The light colors are primarily within the boundaries of Hong Kong, while at the top, the dark spectrum insinuates China's position in opposition to the protestors.
