John O’Reilly constructs photographic montages with found and staged images. Using a Polaroid camera, he photographed scenes constructed in his studio, including self-portraits. He also re-photographed images from magazines, art history books, gay porn, and other sources. His resulting collages appear virtually seamless, as bodies and objects morph into each other amidst fragmented backgrounds.
