The “neutral” form of the sphere is reproduced photographically – something we tend to read as indicative of truth or ‘reality’ — and superimposed on six lines that we instantly assume implies a pedestal. Their spatial relationships however are deliberately mis-aligned, thus creating a third spatial plane that highlights the viewer’s position/participation in the creation of image/meaning.
