Gideon Rubin is a painter who was born in Tel Aviv, Israel, and lives in London. He received his MFA from Slade School of Fine Art, University College, London. His work has been shown in solo and group exhibitions in New York, Tel Aviv, London, Paris, Cologne, San Francisco and Beijing.

Rabih Alameddine is author of the bestselling novel The Hakawati, as well as Koolaids, I, the Divine, the story collection The Perv, and most recently, An Unnecessary Woman, which will be translated into English in January 2014. He divides his time between San Francisco and Beirut.
